Our Delabeling Process
1. Initial Consultation: Start with a comprehensive consultation at Dick's House to review your medical history and any past allergic reactions.
2. Risk Assessment: We use research-validated tools to evaluate your suitability for penicillin allergy testing. For more information on the safety of such testing in a primary care setting, read more here.
3. On-Campus Testing for Low-Risk Individuals: Low-risk students undergo a medically supervised oral penicillin challenge at Dick's House, conveniently located on campus
4. Specialized Referrals for Higher Risk Cases: Students with a higher risk profile receive support in getting referrals to the DHMC Allergy Clinic for further testing.
5. Follow-Up Care: We offer thorough post-testing support, including medical record updates and advice on antibiotic use.
