Counseling Center Mission Statement

Mission Statement

The Counseling Center is a department within the Dartmouth Student Health Service and falls under the Division of Health and Wellness. The Counseling Center works in collaboration with the Dartmouth community to support the academic mission of the College. The Counseling Center aims to enhance the health and well-being of Dartmouth students in support of their academic and personal goals by providing the highest quality psychological services. Psychological services are provided through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, outpatient psychiatric care, outreach, and referral services. We also offer consultation, education, and prevention strategies to the campus community. Through these efforts, we strive to increase coping skills and foster the academic, intellectual, and emotional growth of all students. We seek to encourage an environment of inclusion and personal development.
