The Counseling Center team includes administrative staff, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, licensed mental health counselors, psychiatric residents, and psychology interns. Whether our role is to assist students with scheduling an appointment or to offer mental health counseling, we are committed to creating an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe and to helping students make the most of their college experience.
Our counselors operate under an active license whether it be independently or under the license of their supervisor. Licensed counselors have obtained their independent license in New Hampshire. Unlicensed counselors are pursuing independent licensure in New Hampshire and currently operate under their supervisor's license. When you meet with an unlicensed counselor, you get the benefit of their expertise as well as their supervisor's, as they are required to meet regularly to ensure that the best possible care is being provided to clients.
The profiles of our counselors only partially identify areas of interest, experience, and expertise. Our counselors are generalists and can work with a variety of concerns in varying areas.
Counseling sessions can be conducted in Bengali, English, Hebrew, Hindi, Hindustani (Hindi and Urdu), Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Taiwanese.
Students who are referred for short-term counseling from the initial Triage appointment are welcome to request a specific counselor* when scheduling an Intake appointment.
*Requesting a specific counselor may cause longer wait times to be seen.
