Organization Resources and Support

The staff in Collis and Student Involvement are happy to provide a variety of support resources and advising to students and student organizations at Dartmouth.

Workshops and Training

Student Involvement offers workshops and trainings to help student organizations function at their best. Throughout the year we will offer a number of open opportunities for students to attend workshops, or if your organization would like to arrange a special training just for your members/leadership, please stop by the 2nd floor of Collis to talk to a Student Involvement staff member or reach out to Student.Involvement@dartmouth.edu with your inquiry.

Current offerings include:

Team Building Support

A successful organization relies on team efforts to function successfully. Student Involvement is offering team building opportunities to help your group become more cohesive through various activities and programs. Team Building Support will also give your group and its members the tools to help better facilitate the events and activities that your group may create in the future.

If you have questions or would like to hold some team building activities for your group please contact Joshua Rivard at joshua.l.rivard@dartmouth.edu or stop by his office in Collis 211.

Event Planning

Whether you are new to leadership in your organization or just need a refresher, this workshop reviews the steps for planning successful events at Dartmouth. We'll discuss and share tips for the entire process from brainstorming, through the myriad policies and financial procedures, to the successful execution of the program.

Marketing and Publicity

Once you've poured time and energy into planning, you'll want to be sure campus knows about your meetings and events! From posters to social media and more, this workshop reviews some of the best strategies for getting the word out about your events.

Beyond these, we are happy to provide personalized support for your organization on a variety of other topics including leadership transition, member retention, navigating conflict in your organization, running effective meetings, scheduling and contracting with guest speakers/performers – and many more.
