    • opportunities to join or apply for membership
    • meetings, events, or programs open to all students
  • Events sponsored by a College-recognized organization must use the @dartmouth.edu account of the sponsoring organization (not personal accounts).

The following messages are not permitted on the campus-events ListServ:

  • Personal messages
  • Postings about lost items
  • Issue statements
  • Solidarity messages
  • Petitions
  • Student surveys

What if I am feeling inundated with emails?

The listserv is a valuable tool that many organizations and departments use to share information about opportunities and programs. While unsubscribing from the listserv is an option, it leads to a high likelihood of missing out on some important information. However, there are other ways to manage your listserv experience.

Here are a few options:

Set up an email filter

In your email browser/program, set up a filter for all email addressed to campus-events@listserv.dartmouth.edu. You can have these emails filtered past your inbox into a folder just for these message that you can review when you have time.

Set up "digest" emails

With a digest subscription, you receive larger messages (called digests) at regular intervals, usually once per day or once per week. These digests are collections of individual list postings. Some lists are so active that they produce several digests per day.

  1. Log into listserv.dartmouth.edu (using your full email address as log-in, and your standard Dartmouth password).

  2. View your subscriptions by clicking on "Subscriptions" – you should then see Campus-Events along with any other lists you are on.

Check the box next to Campus events, and then choose the dropdown for mail, they can select a few different digest options. Once you select the type of digest email you want, click the update button. For campus events, try the Digest HTML option.
