Collis Community Ambassadors

The Collis Community Ambassadors are a student staff tasked with fostering community in informal spaces, while ensuring campus guidelines are being followed. The Community Ambassadors work closely with the Collis Managers and professional staff to bring a little bit of that Collis spirit we all love to other areas of campus.

Informal Gathering Spaces

Finding a space to study or informally meet with friends can be a challenge. Let the Collis Community Ambassadors help you! Many familiar spaces across campus are available for individual and small group use, including the Collis Center and Sarner Underground. Listed below are the spaces the Collis Community Ambassadors support. 

Black Family Visual Arts Center:

  • Available 5:00 pm-10:00 pm Monday-Sunday
  • Entrance through front doors on the plaza south of the Hood Museum with Dartmouth ID
  • Students are welcome to use the first floor lobby space for informal gathering and studying

Hopkins Center for the Arts

  • Available 5:00 pm-12:00 am Monday-Sunday
  • Entrance through front doors on the Green with Dartmouth ID
  • Students are welcome to use the Top of the Hop and Courtyard Cafe dining area for informal gathering and studying
  • Fire pits are located at the back courtyard near the Courtyard Cafe

Haldeman Center and Kemeny Hall:

  • Available 5:00 pm- 10:00 pm Monday- Sunday
  • Entrance through front doors facing North Main St. 
  • Students are welcome to use the Haldeman 1st floor lounge and classroom spaces on the 1st floor and basement in both buildings for informal gathering and studying
  • Fire pits are located at the lower level of Kemeny Hall on the concrete patio
