Can I get a note?

We are here to support our community when you are feeling ill and needing evaluation. However, as part of  a long-standing Dartmouth Student Health Service policy, we do not provide notes or medical excuses to professors or employers. 

We do this out of respect for patient confidentiality and also because we recognize that Dartmouth students are competent adults and able to manage direct conversations with their deans and professors to negotiate their needs.  This is a standard of practice at many medical facilities, including our local clinics and hospitals.
