Jessica Wilson, dietitian, activist and author will be visiting Dartmouth College for a 2 Day Summit on April 25th and 26thNourishing Change: a Summit with Jessica Wilson on the intersection of anti-blackness, weight bias and disordered eating will offer a series of events that will showcase Jessica’s Work and allow the community to engage in conversation with her. Jessica’s debut book, “It’s Always Been Ours  Re-writing the Stories of Black Women’s Bodies” addresses the reality that the stories and experiences of Black Women have been long absent from discourse on eating disorders, diet culture, health and wellness. Jessica identifies the relationship between Anti-Blackness and Anti-Fatness and names racism as an underpinning of weight bias while looking to amplify, uplift and celebrate the stories and experiences of Black Women.
