INDD (International No Diet Day) began in 1992 by Mary Evans Young, the director of the British group .Diet Breakers., to celebrate body acceptance and body shape diversity.

The goals of No Diet Day are:

* Challenge the idea of one "right" body shape.

* Raise awareness to weight discrimination, size bias and "fat phobia".

* Declare a free day from diets and obsessions to body weight.

* Present the facts about the diet industry, emphasizing the inefficacy of commercial diets.

* Honor the victims of eating disorders.
