Common Ground
Located on the main floor of the Collis Student Center, Common Ground holds a special place in the history of Collis and Dartmouth. During Charles Collis's time at Dartmouth, Common Ground served as a dining space and was a place where he found community. In 1979, it was decided that Common Ground would be the space where future generations would find community, no matter who they were or where they came from.
Common Ground is home to many programs and events that shape student life. When it is not being used for events, Common Ground is a popular student lounge space. It is outfitted with comfortable furniture, a fire place, and enough room to accommodate many programmatic needs.
