The Student Wellness Center offers both wellness check-ins with professional staff and peer wellness coaching with trained students—for undergraduate and graduate students who want space to talk openly with a caring, non-judgmental listener about anything going on in life.
Whether you're hoping to reflect, gain clarity, or take small steps toward your wellbeing, we're here to support you.
Our team makes wellness check-ins available via Zoom, phone, or in-person (indoors or outside). Select your preference during the scheduling process.
What's the difference between Peer Coaching and a Wellness Check-in with a staff member?
Peer Coaching is a student-to-student experience—sometimes it feels easier to open up to someone closer to your own experience. Peer Coaches may offer a relatable perspective and focus on listening, asking thoughtful questions, sharing resources, and helping you explore your goals
Wellness Check-ins with a staff member may be a better fit if you're looking for professional guidance or support navigating more complex situations.
Each option has its strengths—choose the one that feels most comfortable or supportive for you.

Charlie (he/him), '27, Biochemistry & Neuroscience
Hello! I'm a Peer Wellness Coach who's passionate about providing kind, non-judgemental support and empowering my fellow Dartmouth students. I'm a firm believer that simply being an active listener and demonstrating care can have a meaningful impact on others. When I'm not working as a Peer Coach, I'm usually playing board games, watching football, or beating my friends in pickleball.
Keene (he/him), '28, Neuroscience
As a Peer Wellness Coach, I like to bring warmth and empathy into our conversations during wellness check-ins. I'm especially passionate about helping students navigate their sexuality and relationships as well as LGBTQ+ experiences on campus. I became a coach because I believe that there is so much power behind coaching, and I want to use it to help support your well-being!

Jane Han, PhD student, Psychological and Brain Sciences
Hello, I'm Jane (she/her/hers)! I'm from South Korea and currently a fifth-year Psychological and Brain Sciences Ph.D. student. I'm fascinated by narrative stories for both my research and life, how we understand each other's stories and develop our own. I have been moving around a lot myself (went through 10 campuses) and had adventures in academic and personal environmental changes. One of my goals as a coach is to make sure you don't feel alone in your situation. We will walk through this together.

Raghav (He/Him), '27, Biochemistry & Neuroscience
My coaching style is warm, non-judgmental, and centered on active listening. I'm here to help you reflect, grow, and explore your own goals at your own pace. I especially enjoy talking about navigating transitions, building motivation, and cultivating a sense of belonging. Outside of coaching, I love hiking new trails and playing tennis with my friends.
Ellie (she/her), '26, Neuroscience major, English minor
As a Peer Wellness Coach, I hope that I can create an environment that is safe, encouraging, and totally free of judgment. My main goal is to help students see how they can take steps toward positive change, whatever that looks like for them! Outside the SWC, you can probably find me reading or looking for my new favorite latte in the Upper Valley :)

Ryan (he/him), '28, Biology
As a Peer Wellness Coach, I'm a warm, attentive listener that'll create a safe space for personal reflection. I'm especially happy to
talk to you about time management, belonging, and managing stress. Outside of coaching, you can find me in my lab or taking care of animals.

Alvina (she/her), '26, Biology + Anthropology
Hi!! I'm a Peer Wellness Coach who is passionate about making meaningful connections with those around me through genuine conversation and listening to students' stories with empathy and compassion. I'm open to talking about all of it- from the big emotions to the small everyday stresses. Outside of the SWC, I love going on runs, coaching swim lessons, and finding new music!

Hi there! I'm LB (she/her/hers), and I have been working in the wellbeing field for eleven years where I have served a wide range of populations including healthcare employees, veterans, youth, and young adults. I completed my undergraduate degree with a focus on the intersection of mindfulness and holistic mental health counseling at Union Institute & University. I have also completed Koru Mindfulness training, yoga teacher certification through YogaDharma, and wellness coach certification through the National Institute of Whole Health. My personal mindfulness practice along with my education and training provide me with a foundation of expertise and authenticity in my work with others. Previously, I served as the Wellbeing + Mindfulness Specialist, and now serve as the Assistant Director for Wellbeing for the Dartmouth College Student Wellness Center, developing programs that enhance students' capacities for mindfulness while also broadly supporting the holistic wellbeing of all students.

Hi, I'm Alleah (she/her/hers), and I am a dedicated wellness professional committed to helping students on their journey of self-exploration and personal development. I joined the Student Wellness Center team in 2023 to advance mindfulness and wellbeing programs that guide the Dartmouth community closer toward flourishing. I previously worked in outdoor and agricultural education and have experienced many of the ways that nature can help us nurture our inner qualities. As a coach, my philosophy is centered on the belief that you possess answers within yourself, like seeds in the soil waiting their turn to sprout. Through this collaborative process, we can together cultivate a garden of self-awareness, purpose, and fulfillment.

Hi, I'm Brian (he/him/his). I try to keep a low profile, considering myself to simply be a counselor who specializes in listening. However, I am occasionally pulled into the spotlight for my significant work in higher education prevention, student wellness and reducing high risk drinking with efficient and effective ways of implementing evidence base programs such as BASICS. I have spent the last decade fine tuning Dartmouth's comprehensive approach to managing and reducing high risk drinking, and have held licenses and certifications as a clinical mental health and substance abuse counselor for over 30 years.

Hi, I'm Noah (she/her/hers)! I joined the SWC in 2024, and I have several years' experience supporting youth and young adults in academic settings. I work on Dartmouth's Sexual Violence Prevention Project (SVPP) and come from a public health background; before moving to the Upper Valley, I conducted school-based violence prevention programming with a rape crisis center in Colorado. My expertise is in supporting people affected by sexual or domestic violence, but I'm happy to chat about anything going on in your life. As a coach, my priorities are to listen without judgment, to highlight the strengths you already have, and to help shoulder the weight of what you're going through. You don't have to carry this alone! I'm also a proponent of community resourcing and, with your permission, might suggest other groups or services for you to connect with. My goal here is to help you better understand your situation, your needs, and ultimately, yourself.
Wellness check-ins are not intended as a substitute for therapy or pastoral counseling. Our staff members and graduate and undergraduate coaches offer check-ins as a non-clinical, private resource, which means we cannot provide the same level of confidentiality as our colleagues at the Counseling Center or the Tucker Center. Please refer to our About Wellness Check-ins page for more information about our work as well as other support service options on campus to choose the resource that is right for you.
