About the Program
Once students return to campus, we will be able to offer the Happy Hour Program. "Happy Hour" is a program developed and implemented by Dartmouth College Health Services and the Student Wellness Center, where a team of Providers and Educators visit students' living spaces on campus (Greek Houses, Affinity Houses, Dorms, etc.) to provide on-site screening for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and consultations for sexual health questions such as:
- when and how to get tested for STIs
- options for safer sex practices to prevent STI transmission and unplanned pregnancy
- contraceptive methods
- how to communicate to partner(s) about STI status, contraceptive choices, etc.
We provide a laid-back environment to meet students where you live and play - to create space for conversations around sexual health and healthy relationships (with yourself and others!).
When Happy Hours are offered, the program usually runs for two hours (Monday through Thursday 4-6pm) - but we are open to working with your group's schedule to find a time that works for you!
