Dartmouth students have the opportunity to earn a Wellness Education Credit (formerly Physical Education Credit) through participating in and reflecting on 12 offerings from the SWC over the course of a term. Students must register for the course on Darthub using CRN 32419 (Spring 23) before beginning their participation. Participation is managed through a checklist in Dartmouth Groups in the SWC group.
Detailed instructions for fulfilling the requirement for each offering will be in Dartmouth Groups. The Sampler offerings are highlighted below.
During these one-on-one sessions, you get a chance to talk out all of the things you've been carrying in your head or on your heart with a trained listener who can provide a source of non-judgmental support. While these conversations can vary greatly in terms of what we discuss, our goal is to listen carefully and work with you to navigate the different transitions you're facing and take steps toward making the most of this period of your life. More info on Wellness Check-ins here.

Come once a week, come twice a week, or drop-in throughout the term when you need more accountability to get things done. These Get It Done sessions are hosted by an ASC team member in our beautiful Garden Room. We will facilitate timed work sessions, be available for check-ins and support, and break up the work sessions with a mix of mindfulness and mingling.

You will be guided through the ancient practice of yoga nidra: a deeply restful and rejuvenating sleep-like meditation. Participants will be invited to lie down, get comfortable, and simply listen to the words of the meditation while doing absolutely nothing else. Yoga philosophy states that 30 minutes of yoga nidra practice is equivalent to 3-4 hours of sleep. Come see for yourself!
