The Buddha The Scientist: Mindfulness and Cultivating a Positive Scientific Community

A day of mindfulness practice, talks by monastics and scientists, and discussions to reflect on how mindfulness can help scientists to work creatively, collaboratively, and joyfully to tackle some of the greatest challenges facing our world. Note: Attendance at the 2-day weekend retreat that takes place on Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th is encouraged, but not required, for those attending this event.

This event is part of a week of presentations, discussions, meditation practice, and retreats with senior monastic Dharma teachers in the Plum Village Tradition of scholar, poet, peace activist, and Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh from Deer Park Monastery in California.
