Margaret Maurer is the Curriculum Design Specialist for the Sexual Violence Prevention Project. Margaret holds a BA from Brown University, an MPhil from Cambridge University, and a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A lifelong educator, they have designed and taught a wide variety of classes and programming for K-12 and college students. At UNC, they created and taught courses on writing and literature, including a trauma-informed seminar on sexual violence and premodern literature. They also advocated for survivor-centered approaches to violence prevention and education as a founding member of UNC's Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services Student Advisory Committee.
