Jamie L. Fairclough, PhD, MPH, MSPharm
Jamie Fairclough is a data scientist and biostatistician with over a decade of experience applying statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to improve outcomes, advance research innovation, and support data-driven decision-making in academic, healthcare, and public health environments. As the Director of Mental Health Evaluation and Assessment, Jamie leads the development and implementation of a multi-year strategic evaluation plan aligned with Dartmouth's Commitment to Care initiative. Her responsibilities include recommending effective data governance and evaluation frameworks, managing data collection and analysis efforts, and producing impactful reports to guide institutional priorities related to mental health.
In her previous roles, Jamie spearheaded the adoption and implementation of analytics platforms, scalable data systems, and cloud-based AI solutions in medical and pharmacy school settings. She also has experience overseeing a risk assessment surveillance system for a state health department. She continues collaborating with government agencies, providing biostatistical, data visualization, and geospatial mapping support to the VA Medical Center and state health department, enhancing their research capacity and strengthening statewide disease surveillance capabilities.
Jamie earned her BS, MPH, MS, and PhD degrees in health-related disciplines, completed an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine research, and subsequently pursued postgraduate training in medical statistics, AI and machine learning, cloud computing, data engineering, and systems engineering to expand her expertise further and drive innovation in biomedical data science and AI systems leadership.
In her free time, Jamie enjoys spending quality time with her husband and children, cheering for Florida college football teams, and mentoring gifted and talented youth through her local chapter of Mensa.
