On Monday 10/9 at 7:00 pm the Nicaraguan dance company, Las Hijas de Maíz (The Daughters of Corn), will perform on the Dartmouth campus and this event is being sponsored by East Wheelock House. Las Hijas de Maíz will be performing in “the Onion” (otherwise known as House Center A, next to Alumni Gym on Crosby Street) and dinner will be provided. The food will be catered by Bright Sun Kitchen and the event is open to all students and the general public. These Nicaraguan dancers are members of the Women in Action collective in Managua, Nicaragua, and Executive Director Mike Boudreau and Program Coordinator Ana Narvaez of the service-learning organization, Compas de Nicaragua, will be at the event.
