Know Your Deadlines
Dartmouth students applying for return who want Dartmouth housing must complete the housing application for the relevant term. If you have access to DartHub, you can submit the application via Housing: StarPortal. Should that not be possible, please reach out to the Undergraduate Housing Office and we will work with you to complete an application on your behalf. You should complete or reach out to our by the housing deadline for the term for which you are petitioning to return to the College.
It is critical that your completed housing application is submitted by the deadline for the term you anticipate returning, even if your reinstatement has not been approved when you send in the application. If we have not received your housing application by the deadline, we cannot guarantee that a space can be held for you.
First-year students are guaranteed housing if their applications are received by the appropriate deadline. Applications received after the deadline are not guaranteed and will be housed on a space-available basis.
