Apartment Information

The cost of living in an on-campus apartment is the same as living in other on-campus residences. Students living in the apartments can belong to different House Communities. Assignments in the apartments, including Buildings 2 and 3 at Summit, are the same as those in residence halls and a student's housing plans must be confirmed on a termly basis through the winter and spring housing intent/application processes. 

  • Maxwell & Channing Cox: 4-person apartments (all private bedrooms) with 1 bathroom
  • Ledyard Apartments: 4-person apartments with 1 bathroom (1 double and 2 singles), one 3-person apartment (double & single) with one bathroom
  • North Park Apartments (7 & 9 Ivy Lane, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, & 24 North Park Street): A few single apartments (studio style) with one bathroom, 4-person apartments (all private bedrooms) with 2 bathrooms
  • Summit on Juniper: Single apartments (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom), one 3-person apartment (3 private bedrooms, 2 bathrooms)2-person apartments (2 private bedrooms and 2 bathrooms), 4-person apartments (4 private bedrooms, two bathrooms)

Summit on Juniper Apartments

Buildings 2 & 3 at Summit on Juniper is part of what will be a 638-bed apartment complex for Graduate Students located just south of DHMC. Assignments to Buildings 2 & 3 are made on a termly basis by the Undergraduate Housing Office. Leases for apartments in the other buildings are done directly through the staff at Summit (Michael's Student Living). All apartments offer private, lockable bedrooms. The apartments are fully furnished (beds are full/queen size) with Wi-Fi, in-unit laundry facilities, and on-site parking ($30/year). They have high-efficiency HVAC cooling and heating systems and over-head fans in the bedrooms. Residents have access to a workout room, mail room, package lockers, central gathering spaces, study spaces, and the adjacent Boston Lot hiking trails. Work orders for any issues within the apartment go through Michael's Student Living, who manage the units.

Dartmouth undergraduates assigned to live at Building 2 or 3 at Summit on Juniper will pay the same rent as those students living on the main campus and are not required to be on a meal plan.

Dartmouth provides free and frequent transportation to and from the property seven days a week - running from 7am to 2:45am, Monday through Friday and 9am to 2:45am Saturday & Sunday - through a combination of privately run shuttles and free public transportation.
