Leave-Term Housing

Applying for Leave-Term Housing

The applicant must complete the relevant section of the housing application (available on DartHub under the Housing StarPortal link) and submit written verification of College employment or College-related activity (averaging 30 or more hours per week) to the Housing Office.

Leave term housing is not available for fall or spring terms.

On-time leave-term applicants will be assigned housing as space allows, after all on-time enrolled students have been accommodated. Priority is given to seniors first, followed by juniors, and then sophomores.

Dining Plan and Financial Aid

Any leave-term student living in housing coordinated by the Undergraduate Housing Office—including all residence halls, apartments, living learning communities and College- or privately-owned Greek and undergraduate society facilities—must participate in an on-campus College dining plan.

Financial aid funds typically used for room and board are not available for leave-term housing costs. Students receiving financial aid should meet with their financial aid counselor to discuss their specific situation and options.
