We take great pride in our efforts to strengthen community service initiatives that build confidence in those around us. As the only sorority with an affiliation with Girl Scouts of America, we are proud to support troops in the Hanover area. Our goal is to "build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place." On a termly basis, sisters serve as mentors and volunteers, hosting educational activities that help the girls earn new badges and leadership skills. Each year KD also hosts an event called Shamrock. This fundraising event benefits Kappa Delta's national philanthropy: Prevent Child Abuse America. Kappa Delta raises more than $2 million annually to support this organization."
