By following the chapter motto "Unity is Strength, Strength is Beauty," Xi Lambda provides leadership on Dartmouth's campus, in the Upper Valley, and throughout the world through service and excellence.
  • Philanthropy and service: Ivy Ball is an opportunity for the Dartmouth community and guests to come together and celebrate Black History Month by enjoying a catered meal, listening to a guest speaker and dancing. We raise funds for a selected nonprofit through raffling prizes. Since 2017, we have averaged $1,300 for raised funds from this event. Midnight BBQ is an event held close to midnight on the first day of finals when students are studying intensely for their exams. We provide students the opportunity to relax and fellowship during a stressful time. Another event we host is POC Ski Day, where we sponsor students of color for one day on the ski slopes. We provide ski equipment, lessons, transportation, and a meal voucher. Skiing and the outdoors are a critical Dartmouth experience and our program allows all students regardless of financial background experience a fun Dartmouth tradition. Furthermore, Yard Show is a fun, free, and dry event that we host during Green Key weekend. With usually have over 100 attendees, and an included DJ, we host a step show, cookout, and carnival games on the Gold Coast Lawn.
