New Member Education

New Member Education Plan

Per the Greek Life Handbook, New Member Educators are responsible for filing New Member Education Plans with the Office of Greek Life and Student Societies and making their organizations fully aware of all new member policies. 

Training: 
[IFC/ISC] Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM (EST) in Rockefeller 106.
[NPHC/MGC] Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM (EST) in Robinson 322.
[GIC/US] Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM (EST) in Life Sciences Life Sciences 105.

Education Plans:
June 3, 2026 - New Member Review Begins
June 25, 2026 - Summer Final Plan Due
September 14, 2026 - Fall Final Plan Due
* Your organizations New Member Education Plan must be submitted and reviewed by the Greek Life and Student Societies Staff and signed prior to any new member activities taking place.

Submit the first draft of your new member education plan here.

Changes must be submitted at least 48 hours before taking place to Makenzie Vandenbark, Assistant Director for New Member Education and Chapter Management

Plan Requirements

A New Member Education Plan must include: 

  1. A Statement of Purpose
  2. Contact Information (New Member Educator(s), President, Advisor(s), GLASS Staff)
  3. Anti-Hazing Policy and Content
  4. Initiation Requirements
  5. Post-Initiation Membership Expectations 
  6. Judicial Process Overview
  7. Membership Removal Policy and Procedures
  8. All Financial Expectations 
  9. Mentorship Program Outline
  10. Calendar of Events with Descriptions

Finalized new member plans will be signed by organization president, new member educator, and advisor, verified by GLASS staff, and documented on DartGroups.
