Incoming Class

Congratulations on your admission to Dartmouth! We in Student Accessibility Services (SAS) look forward to engaging with incoming first-year and transfer students with disabilities. And if you have access questions about orientation, Dartmouth has you covered.

Registration Procedures & Placement Testing Accommodations

If applying for academic/course accommodations, please visit our Getting Started page to fill out your SAS Application and provide applicable disability documentation. We accept applications throughout the year, but to be sure that your requests are reviewed before fall term or if accommodations are needed for a placement exam, please apply immediately because the originally recommended deadline was June 18, 2021.

If you have been approved for testing accommodations by SAS and would like to utilize them for placement tests, please email to make this request as soon as you have been approved by SAS.

Dietary and Housing Considerations

If, due to a disability or another condition, you require modifications to your on-campus dining and/or living experience, these processes are typically handled by our partner offices, Residential Life and Dartmouth Dining. For more information, please see:

  • Dartmouth Dining Services is available to meet individually with students with food allergies, celiac disease, and other dietary conditions or concerns, as well as students eating diets in accordance with religious practices.
  • Residential Life Housing Accommodations/Adjustments. Please be aware that Residential Life has its own deadlines that, if not met, may mean it cannot provide a particular housing accommodation/adjustment. However, as with SAS, Residential Life attempts to meet all disability-related housing needs if possible.
