Goldwater Internship

About the Internship

The Barry Goldwater Summer Research Internship Program is a new initiative designed to enable college freshmen and sophomores to engage with research early in their undergraduate careers. This will help recipients to develop skills, knowledge, and experience that will benefit them in all future endeavors.

Goldwater Internships are 10-week research opportunities across the United States. Goldwater interns will be placed in laboratories across the United States where they will join collaborative research teams that include senior researchers, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and other undergraduates. Interns will also participate in a weekly Zoom meeting designed to build community across the Goldwater Intern cohort. This will include a workshop that supports Goldwater Interns in preparing applications for the Goldwater Scholarship, which Interns are expected to apply for through their home institutions after the completion of their internship.

Each Intern will receive $10,500 to cover the internship and related expenses.

For more information, you can visit the Goldwater Internship website and our Canvas site.
