Undergraduate Scholarships
BESTCOLLEGES SCHOLARSHIP FOR BLACK WOMEN IN STEM
We are offering a total of $30,000 in five scholarships worth $6,000 each. We believe that providing financial assistance and support for Black women in STEM is a crucial step in breaking down barriers and bridging the gap in these fields.
The scholarship is open to Black women who are currently enrolled or intend to enroll in a degree program in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. You can find the details here.
ERNEST F. HOLLINGS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship Program provides successful undergraduate applicants with awards to support academic studies related to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities. Scholarship students will be eligible for up to $8,000 of academic assistance per year for full-time study during their junior and senior years; a paid 10-week, full-time internship position during the summer at an NOAA facility ($650 per week); a housing subsidy for scholars who do not reside at home during the summer internship; and travel expenses to attend and participate in a mandatory orientation and conference. Apply as a sophomore in a four-year program or a junior in a five-year program.
HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIPS FUND
The Hispanic Scholarships Fund / Citigroup Fellows Program is a two-year award. Selected students will receive $5,000 for each of their junior and senior years for a total award of $10,000. Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage, pursuing a degree in Business, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance, and have a GPA of 3.2 or above. Students must apply as sophomores.
ISLAMIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Since 2009 the Islamic Scholarship Fund has funded American Muslim scholars studying and working in fields with the greatest impact on public opinion and policy. Our scholarships range from $3,000-$10,000. Our goal: to improve negative portrayals of Muslims in the news, increase the number of Muslim policymakers, and invest in the creation of positive and engaging stories about American Muslims.
Eligibility:
- Muslim or active member of the Muslim community
- Enrolled full-time at an accredited university in the U.S. by August 2023; OR employed full-time in an ISF Supported Field and a part-time student at an accredited university in the U.S;
- An undergraduate (junior or senior) or of graduate standing (master's, PhD, or law degree)
- Studying an ISF-supported major
- Maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA
- A U.S. citizen, DACA recipient, or permanent U.S. resident
POINT FOUNDATION: THE NATIONAL LGBTQ SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Point Foundation: The National LGBTQ Scholarship Fund "was established in 2001 to nurture the next generation of LGBTQ leaders. Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society…Point Scholarships are awarded on a "last provider" basis. Point fills in the gaps and provides funds not provided by other scholarships, grants, loans, work/study programs, etc. It is the responsibility of those selected as Point Scholars to secure as much outside funding as possible."
