Celeste Winston ’14 has been named one of 20 Beinecke Scholars for 2013. While that is high praise, it is no higher than the praise bestowed by her mentor, Richard Wright, the Orvil Dryfoos Professor of Geography and Public Affairs. “She’s among the best students I’ve worked with in 28 years of teaching at Dartmouth,” says Wright.

Udall Foundation, which recognizes college sophomores and juniors who either intend to pursue careers related to the environment, or who intend to pursue careers in Native health care or tribal public policy and are Native American or Alaska Native.
[more]Emma Smith, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 2013, has been chosen as a 2012 Harry S. Truman Scholar. The scholarship awards up to $30,000 to college juniors to pursue graduate studies in public service fields and also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development.
