Read&Write

Read&Write is a literacy support tool that offers help with everyday tasks like reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments and proofing written work.

Read&Write is a customizable easy-to-use toolbar that directly integrates with familiar applications, including Microsoft Word, Chrome, Firefox and Adobe Reader, allowing users to access the reading or writing support tools they need from within the programs they use every day. Read&Write Integrates with mainstream Windows and Mac applications.

The user can select where the software should begin to read and it will highlight and read aloud while a user follows along. It will also work on websites and includes a comprehensive set of support tools for reading, writing, studying, research, and test taking. Read&Write also lets you convert your speech to text easily and accurately. Additionally, it can convert digital documents into audio files, so you can listen to them on the go.

Read&Write is available to all Dartmouth students and staff. You can download and access Read&Write with your Dartmouth ID number by visiting the Texthelp website. Users will be able to log in with their dartmouth.edu or tuck.dartmouth.edu email.
