Important Information

Getting on the Ballot

All candidates wishing to appear on the ballot must fill out the Intent to Run Form, read the 2024 Election Code, and attend the Candidate and Election Q&A Session {link will open Zoom} on April 13th at 4:00 pm EDT. Some positions may also require a petition with specific signature requirements, as stipulated in the code. 

Intent to Run Form:{Link opens Dartmouth Groups form}- This form lets us know you wish to appear on the ballot! Intent to Run Form closes on April 11th at 11:59 pm EDT.

Candidate Petition: {Link opens PDF}- Certain positions require candidates to collect signatures to appear on the ballot! Candidates can print a copy using the Candidate Petition link or contact EPAC to receive a virtual petition to capture signatures remotely. Please check the current Election Code for signature requirements for each position. Petitions due on April 12th at 11:59 pm EDT.

2024 Spring Election Code (Addendum):{Link opens PDF}-These are the election rules! Please read them and ask us any questions to ensure a fair election process. This version of the code includes an addendum regarding Student Government positions. 

***All Candidates, including write-in candidates, must follow the election code!

Campaign Expenditure Form: {Link opens Google Form}- This form is required for anyone spending money on their campaign!

***Candidate Expenditure Form and Receipts due date is April 21st at 11:59 pm EDT via the linked Google Form

Printing Request Form: {Link downloads Word Form}- This form is for candidates to print campaign materials through Dartmouth Printing & Mailing. 

***Please attach the linked form in an email to dartmouth.printing.and.mailing@dartmouth.edu AND Elections.Planning.and.Advisory.Committee@dartmouth.edu. Prints will be available at the Collis Info Desk the day after the form is submitted. The deadline for submitting forms is Thursday, April 18th at 11:59 pm EDT for final delivery on Friday, April 19th.

The following schedule is subject to change before the beginning of the campaign period.

Monday, 3/25– Intent to Run Form opens, and Petitioning starts at 9:00 am EDT

Friday, 3/29- Position Specific Question & Answer session 4:00 pm EDT in Collis 101
Thursday, 4/4- Position Specific Question & Answer session 12:15 pm EDT in Collis 101

Thursday, 4/11 – Intent to Run Form due via Dartmouth Groups at 11:59 pm EDT
Friday, 4/12 – Petitions due to the Collis Info Desk by 11:59 pm EDT
***Saturday, 4/13 – Candidate and Election Question & Answer session 4:00 pm EDT on Zoom {Link will open Zoom meeting} MANDATORY TO APPEAR ON THE BALLOT***
Sunday, 4/14 – Campaigning begins at 12:01 am EDT

Friday, 4/19 – Spending approval requests must be emailed by 11:59 pm EDT to the EPAC e-mail (Elections.Planning.And.Advisory.Committee@Dartmouth.edu)

Sunday, 4/21 – Campaign Expenditure Form and Receipts due by 11:59 pm EDT to the EPAC e-mail
Monday, 4/22 – Voting opens at 5:00 pm EDT
Tuesday, 4/23 – Election Day - Voting Closes at 5:00 pm EDT
