The mission of Dartmouth's Academic Skills Center is to assist students in achieving their academic goals.
The Academic Skills Center accomplishes its mission through a variety of services and programs. We help students improve their academic skills and ability to learn, thereby maximizing their academic experience and allowing them to achieve greater academic performance and personal fulfillment.
The Center continuously works to develop services and programs to reach an increasingly diverse and changing student population.
In promoting and furthering students' intellectual skills and helping to facilitate the academic mission of the college, the Academic Skills Center works closely and collaboratively with the faculty and other student affairs offices.
Since its beginning in 1960, the Academic Skills Center has grown and evolved, with the central goal of seeking new ways to serve students at Dartmouth College in their pursuit of becoming effective and efficient learners.
