Spring Term: Navigating Your College Journey | April 1 - May 10, 2024
Embark on an academic wellness journey of your own design! This hybrid course is delivered one-on-one and offers the opportunity to build your own experiential learning adventure that includes a variety of skills-based topics and campus resources. For example: Explore mindful academics, develop process-based strategies like time management and test prep, and/or engage with the college's abundant academic support network. Weekly individual meetings with your course instructor--a professional academic coach--will be scheduled for a mutually agreed upon time M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm while times for selected asynchronous options will vary.

We're excited to announce our new Spring 2024 Learning at Dartmouth PE/WE course: Navigating Your College Journey!
As every new course needs a new logo, we've created the first Learning at Dartmouth Design Competition. Follow these details to create a winning design:
1. Visually represent the spirit of the course, so please take some time to read the course description above.
2. Design in Canva, using our pre-designed template.
3. Be original. While you can use all the elements provided by Canva or upload your original designs, all designs must be fresh, fun, and inspiring.
4. To submit your design:
a. Follow us @DartmouthAcademicSkills
b. Post your logo on your Instagram stories on Friday, March 22nd between noon and 5 p.m.
c. Tag the ASC in your story
d. Add #NYCJDartmouth
5. The winning design will be announced on Instagram on Monday, March 25th at 3 p.m., and we'll tag the winner.
6. The prize is a $100 Amazon Gift Card to be given after we receive the winning design via Canva link.

Learning at Dartmouth introduces students to habits of mind, key learning strategies, and important resources that greatly enhance the Dartmouth experience. Students who complete a Learning at Dartmouth course will receive 1 WE/PE credit.

How to Register for Learning at Dartmouth:
CLASSES RUN THURSDAY, JANUARY 11 - TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13
The Mindful Academic | Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:30 - 4 p.m.
Can mindfulness reduce stress? Yes! Mindfulness can also positively impact focus, time management, task initiation, and more. In The Mindful Academic, students will build mindfulness toolkits and examine current mindsets to develop personalized best practices in the classroom and beyond. No prior experience is required; however, a strong interest in self-reflection and other contemplative practices is essential to the coursework.

Learning at Dartmouth: College 101 is a PE/WE-credit course. Weekly panels feature student, staff, and faculty voices as they discuss valuable campus resources and how to build meaningful connections with those who support them inside and outside the classroom. Weekly Skills Labs offers hands-on engagement with critical time-management, study, and wellness skills.
