About The Learning at Dartmouth Program
Learning at Dartmouth is a program offering termly courses that introduce students to:
- habits of mind
- key learning strategies
- and important campus resources
Who should consider taking a Learning at Dartmouth course?
Any Dartmouth student interested in enhancing their academic experience!
Dartmouth students are required to earn 3 wellness credits to graduate. Students who complete 1 Learning at Dartmouth course will receive 1 WE/PE credit.
This year Learning at Dartmouth will offer 2 courses:
- Winter Term: The Mindful Academic
- Spring Term: Navigating Your College Journey

SPRING: Navigating Your College Journey
Embark on an academic wellness journey of your own design!
This hybrid course is delivered one-on-one and offers the opportunity to build your own experiential learning adventure that includes a variety of skills-based topics and campus resources.
Additional Details
- Open to all undergraduates
- Weekly individual meetings with your course instructor-- a professional academic coach-- will be rescheduled for a mutually agreed upon time Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm.
- Times for selected asynchronous options will vary
- Themes: mindful academics, process-based strategies like test prep and time management

Fall: The Strategic Student
The Strategic Student is your guide to navigating college with confidence and intention. This course goes beyond the basics, equipping you with high-impact strategies to:
- manage your time
- study effectively
- and maintain academic wellness without burning out

- Features panel discussions with Dartmouth students, faculty, and staff
- Themes: making the most of your college experience, productivity techniques, growth mindset, academic study strategies

Winter: The Mindful Academic
Did you know that mindfulness can help you focus better, manage your time, and get things started? In The Mindful Academic, you'll create your own mindfulness toolkit and rethink your habits to find what works best for you in school and beyond. No experience needed, just a genuine interest in mindfulness.
