Through the practice of mindfulness meditation, we gradually become more familiar with our mind and how to better appreciate it. With a consistent meditation practice, we learn to awaken our own innate wisdom. We quickly discover that by resting and stabilizing our mind, we have more clarity in our life. The trick is to actually sit down and do it with some consistency. As we identify obstacles that hinder our practice and cultivate habits that help us persevere, we can establish a practice that works for us.
Meditation helps us to create less harm in our daily life, cultivate friendship with ourself as we are, and realize that every situation we encounter has the possibility to be our teacher.
This series combines short talks, group discussion, and plenty of time for guided meditation practice. It is brought to you free of charge with the support of Information, Technology & Consulting. No previous experience is required. Beginners and drop-ins are welcome.
