THE GOALS FOR THIS YEAR'S LATINE & CARIBBEAN HERITAGE CELEBRATION ARE:

  • Celebrate the unique traditions, customs, and contributions of various cultures within Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Share and learn about our multicultural roots, historical connections, and heritage
  • Promote and host inclusive events that welcome folks from all cultures and backgrounds
  • Foster community conversations that address and advance our wellbeing

THIS YEAR'S THEME IS: CONNECTING OUR ROOTS/ CONECTANDO NUESTRAS RAÍCES

The theme for 'Connecting Our Roots' is inspired by this year's goals and objectives to create spaces where we can talk about and celebrate the diversity and heritage of Latin American & Caribbean nations. As this year's theme for the Geisel School of Medicine's Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month focuses on strengthening these roots, we want to create spaces where undergraduates can connect the roots that some may not realize are interconnected in the first place. Through our food, our music, the arts, and more, we intend on creating spaces that all individuals can participate in to show that there is so much more that unites and connects us than separates us.

"What magic do YOU bring to the community?"
