The Black Welcome Back BBQ is held during the first weekend of the fall term at Shabazz to serve as a welcome to and welcome back to campus for the Black community.
The LCHC Kickoff BBQ is both a community welcome and the first event of the Latine & Caribbean Heritage Celebration which coincides with the national Latinx Heritage Month. New and returning students have the opportunity to connect with other students, staff and faculty, enjoy food, music, and engage with the information that will showcase what is to come for the heritage celebration for the Fall term.
The Pan Asian Community Welcome is an informal event for new and returning students. Students have an opportunity to connect with staff and faculty and learn about student organizations and opportunities to get involved on campus.
Each fall, we invite members of the LGBTQIA+ community across campus to join us at the Triangle House for food, fun, and community. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about programs on campus.
