Re (J'ouvert) nate is a recognition and celebration of the new energy and positivity being brought to campus as we share the history and culture of Carnival. Carnival 2023 will be focused on providing space for students from the Caribbean, the Americas, Africa and beyond to showcase and embrace their heritage and culture as Carnival is celebrated in various communities in ways that are both similar and different.

Starting with the fun, interactive, and informative "Let's Talk Carnival" program and ending the week with the 2nd Annual Carnival Day we hope this year's Carnival sheds light on the importance of Carnival as a celebration, but also as a culture that is more than fun and making noise but also about liberation.

These events are planned and executed by a student chair Khé-G Baron '26
