Meeting and Study Spaces

Looking for a place to study or just hang out? Below are a list of places where you can gather throughout the term.

Collis Center

The crossroads of campus life at Dartmouth is open! Come spend some time in your student center.

Hours

  • Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday | 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Location

  • Collis Center | use front door entrance facing the Dartmouth Green, closest to Robinson Hall and Class of 1953 Commons (so NOT the door on Collis Porch)

  • Collis Community Ambassadors are available to help and assist with following COVID guidelines. Visit the information desk for more!
  • Must be approved to be on-campus. All COVID guidelines must be followed. 
  • Your Dartmouth ID will be required to enter the facility.

Sarner

Looking for an alternative spot to Collis? Check out Sarner Underground!

Hours

  • Monday - Friday | 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday | 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Location

  • Sarner - across the alley from the back of the Collis Center

Library

Baker-Berry Library is open this spring term, and study spaces are available with no reservations required. And if you aren't on campus or want to "study" with classmates who aren't on campus, check out Virtual First Floor Berry and connect!

Hours

  • Sunday to Thursday | 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday | 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Location

  • Baker-Berry | enter through Novack Cafe with your Dartmouth ID

House Centers

Stop by House Center A (the Onion) or House Center B (the Cube) - your residential "living room spaces." Both house centers are open for approved on-campus residential students!

Hours

  • Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday | 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Hopkins Center

Welcome (or welcome back) to the Hopkins Center for the Arts (the Hop). Study and informal gathering spaces have been made available in several locations in the Hop - enjoy!

HOURS

  • Monday - Friday | 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday | 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

LOCATION

  • Hopkins Center | enter through front doors on the Green with Dartmouth ID

Black Family Visual Arts Center (BVAC)

The Black Family Visual Arts Center (BVAC), on the south side of campus features a wide open study space.

HOURS

  • Monday - Friday | 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday | 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Haldeman Center and Kemeny Hall

These beautiful north campus spaces are wonderful options for studying, reading, or the occasional crossword puzzle. Capacities for each room are posted on the door.

  • Saturday and Sunday | Closed
