Become a Study Group Leader

Study group leaders host a study group for multiple students, rather than work 1:1 with a student.

Qualifications

Study group leaders must have received A or A- grade in the course and/or be recommended by the course instructor. 

Time Commitment

Study group leaders are expected to work 1.5 hours per week, plus preparation and occasional pre-exam review sessions.

Rate of Pay

The Tutor Clearinghouse pays its study group leaders $13.50/hour.

Study Group Leader Training Schedule

Fall Term 2019

Academic Mentor Training sessions are mandatory for Study Group Leaders. Students will receive an official hiring email from [email protected] and will be invited to attend a training session. 

All sessions are held in 224 Baker Library, the Academic Skills Center Suite.
