Karen Afre

Associate Director

Karen received her B.A. from Dartmouth College in Sociology/Psychology. Her journey through Dartmouth as a first generation college student and woman of color inspired in her a passion to work in higher education. Karen’s work is centered around helping students navigate college life, establish a sense of belonging, and access the resources that can help them achieve their academic and personal goals. She meets with students on an individual basis as an academic coach and works with them on goal setting, time management, and learning strategies. Karen also gives presentations and oversees the Academic Study Groups program offered through the Tutor Clearinghouse.
