The Mindful Academic 

Can mindfulness reduce stress? Yes! Mindfulness can also positively impact focus, time management, task initiation, and more. In The Mindful Academic, students will build mindfulness toolkits and examine current mindsets to develop personalized best practices in the classroom and beyond. No prior experience is required; however, a strong interest in self-reflection and other contemplative practices is essential to the coursework.

• Small Group Workshop | 20 Seats 
• Themes: Growth mindset, focus, resilience, and reframing challenges 
• Attend at least 8 of the 10 classes to earn PE/WE credit 
• Registration opens first week of winter term on DartHub under PE/Special Interests

Embark on an academic wellness journey of your own design! This hybrid course is delivered one-on-one and offers the opportunity to build your own experiential learning adventure that includes a variety of skills-based topics and campus resources. For example: Explore mindful academics, develop process-based strategies like time management and test prep, and/or engage with the college's abundant academic support network. Weekly individual meetings with your course instructor--a professional academic coach--will be scheduled for a mutually agreed upon time M-F 9 am-4:30 pm while times for selected asynchronous options will vary.

1. Open Darthub
2. Select Course Election and Registration
3. Click select on the button for that term's Add/Drop
4. Click the course search button
5. Click the button that says  "physical education"
6. Click the button that says
   "all departments" and then select the button to search for courses
7. Scroll down the page until you see the course title 
8. Select the check box for your desired course 
9. Scroll down the page and click the button that says "Add Courses to Worksheet"
10. Click the button that says "Submit Changes"
