Pan Asian Community Awards

OPAL Pan Asian Student Advising invites you to join us in recognizing individuals and groups who have significantly contributed to the Pan Asian Community at Dartmouth. We invite you to nominate individuals or groups for any of the following awards. Please be thoughtful and thorough when filling out the nomination form. You may be contacted for more information if needed.

The Emerging Leader Awards, Community Advocate Awards, and AAPIHM Awards will be announced at the AAPIHM Gala on May 27th. The Outstanding Service Award will be announced at the OPAL Graduation celebration on June 11th.

Outstanding Service Award
Awarded to an individual or group in recognition of outstanding service and significant contribution to the Pan Asian community at Dartmouth.

Emerging Leader Award
Awarded to an undergraduate student who displays extraordinary initiative and potential to further positively impact the Pan Asian community at Dartmouth.

Community Advocate Award
Awarded to an individual or group who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the advancement of the Pan Asian community at Dartmouth through advocacy and social justice.

AAPIHM Award
Awarded to an individual or group who exemplifies the theme of this year's AAPIHM.

AAPIHM 2021: Elements celebrates our communities, our relationships, and ourselves. Different values and backgrounds make up each individual, different people come together to build the Dartmouth AAPI community, and different cultures compose the AAPI diaspora. AAPIHM endeavors to create opportunities for people to enhance their understanding of the AAPI community and perspectives, and celebrates the vibrance, resilience, and strength of our community. Every Element in the AAPI and Dartmouth Community is unique, and all of them together creates an opportunity to form a unified whole.
