Taha Tariq is a '28 from London, double-majoring in Geography and Middle Eastern Studies with a minor in Human-Centred Design. As an FGLI student, he cares deeply about how academic institutions can better support students from diverse educational, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly international students. At Dartmouth, he has taken on a range of student-facing roles, including leadership positions as an elected General House Senator for DSG, on the Dartmouth Student Advisory Board, and as Co-Chair of West House. These experiences have strengthened his interest in making campus spaces more accessible, and his academic interests include language learning in addition to identity, belonging and global inequality, and he is especially interested in how human-centred design can be brought into the academic skills centre. Outside of class, he enjoys photography, travelling and baking.
