Zen Practice Group

Group Description

ZEN PRACTICE GROUP FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF
The Tucker Center also supports the on-campus efforts of the Zen Practice Group.
Zen is Buddhist practice, an investigation into the nature of "self," suffering, and the resolution of suffering. The Dartmouth Zen Group welcomes all comers regardless of religious affiliation or meditation experience. Student participants are encouraged to take leadership roles in the group and to assist in planning seminars on campus, involving teachers from both academic and practice backgrounds. Other opportunities include retreats, field trips to area practice centersand summer internships at a residential Zen Center. The group is led by Gendo Allyn Field, founder of the Upper Valley Zen Center.
