Interfaith Alternative Spring Break

About the Program

Students who participate in the Interfaith Alternative Spring Break will have the transformative opportunities to participate in interfaith engagement activities with individuals and organizations from a variety of worldviews and to engage with the practices of wisdom from the spiritual knowledge of communities in the Southwest.

We will be traveling from March 16- March 23, 2025. Tucker Center will cover the trip's cost including food, transportation, and shelter.
Here is a SAMPLE schedule for the trip, to give applicants an idea of what you can expect from the trip.

Monday, March 17th– Albuquerque Bahá'í + Buddhist
Tuesday, March 18th– Albuquerque Native American
Wednesday, March 19th– Santa Fe Catholic Mission + Art Museum
Thursday, March 20th– Santa Fe Interfaith Community Shelter + Half day of Free Time
Friday, March 21st– Albuquerque Mosque + Jumma
Saturday, March 22nd – Albuquerque Synagogue + Holocaust and Intolerance Museum
Sunday, March 23rd– Travel Day

ASB Tucker Fellow

To become the Interfaith Alternative Break trip leader, you will want to apply to be the ASB Tucker Fellow. The Alternative Spring Break Fellow will, under the direction of the MultiFaith Advisor, strategize, plan, implement, and attend the Interfaith Alternative Spring break. They will operate as a member of the Tucker Ambassador Council to promote the mission of the Tucker Center and to promote the mission of interfaith engagement across campus with all their efforts and activities.

2024 Applications for ASB Tucker Fellow are now closed.  The application process will re-open in spring 2025.
