Student Accessibility Services
SURFD undergraduate research and scholars programs are open and accessible to all matriculated Dartmouth undergraduate students. Students requesting disability-related accommodations and services for participation in a SURFD program are required to register with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and to request that an accommodation email be sent to SURFD (undergraduate research or scholars programs) and to the student's faculty mentor in advance of the need for an accommodation. Students should schedule a follow-up meeting with their faculty mentor to determine relevant details such as what role SAS may play in accommodation implementation. This process works best for everyone when completed as early as possible, ideally prior to the start of the research or scholars program. Please note that some accommodations may not be feasible unless requested in advance of the research or scholars program. If students have questions about whether they are eligible for accommodations or have concerns about the implementation of their accommodations, they should contact the SAS office. All inquiries and discussions will remain confidential.
