* Applications are open from the first day of classes until the deadline during terms in which a program is accepting applications.
* Check the eligibility criteria for each program as well as the general eligibility criteria before applying.
* Applications are accessed via DartHub. See the instructions on how to use the application system.
If you have questions about programs or application processes, contact the relevant program at least 48 hours before the application deadline.
* Emails sent after 4:30pm will not be answered until the following day, including on the day of a deadline.
* It is your responsibility to monitor the "progress" section of your application to ensure that your application is complete.
* Late applications are not accepted, and extensions will not be granted.
Applications are due by 5pm on the day of the deadline.
** The system WILL CLOSE EXACTLY AT 5pm, and you must complete submission your application by that time.
Dartmouth ERAS is a two-term, part-time research experience. Applications are only accepted in the fall term as part of the interview and matching process.
Students who are matched through ERAS are paid an hourly wage of $16.25 per hour for 6-10 hours per week, with a limit of 100 hours per term.
URAD applications are accepted each term to engage in research in the following term. Applications are due by 5:00pm one week before the last day of classes:
Faculty endorsements must be received no later than one week after the student application deadline.
Award amount: $1,700 stipend paid after the completion of research.
Students are notified of their eligibility for the Presidential Scholars program in winter of sophomore year. Applications are accepted once a year in spring term of sophomore year. The application is open from the first day of spring term until the deadline.
Application deadline for eligible students in the class of 2029:
Faculty endorsements must be received no later than one week after the student application deadline.
Award amount: $1,700 stipend at the completion of each term of research.
Applications for leave term research grants are accepted in the middle of the term immediately before the research term. See the specific due dates below.

Award amount: maximum of $6,500.
You may receive up to two SURFD Conference Grants during your undergraduate career.
Applications for conference funding are reviewed twice each term:

Students apply for the Stamps Scholars program in the winter of sophomore year.

Students apply for the Senior Fellowship TWO TERMS prior to the start of the proposed fellowship. The standard cycle is to apply in spring of junior year for Senior Fellowships to begin in fall of senior year. The application is open on the first day of spring term.
Students proposing to begin a fellowship in a term other than fall term must contact UR to determine the application deadline (which will be TWO TERMS prior to the proposed start of the fellowship).
Note: Students must submit the Senior Fellowship interest form no later than the 6th week of the term, one term prior to the term of application (which would be winter for the standard application cycle)
Students who submit the interest form will be contacted by Undergraduate Research to set up an initial meeting about the program and the application process. If you have not been contacted within a week of submitting the interest form, email UR.
