Join us for an engaging conversation with Ameena Razzaque ’21, a U.S. diplomat and global policy professional whose work spans international affairs, public health, and migration. Through photos and personal reflections, Ameena will share her journey from Dartmouth College to the U.S. Foreign Service, highlighting how her academic choices helped shape her career path.
She will discuss her approach to exploring career options, the experience of creating her own interdisciplinary major at Dartmouth focused on women’s health across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, and how her passions for health, policy, and global equity guided her professional decisions. Ameena will also reflect on her time at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, where she earned her MA and was selected for the prestigious Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, a program that helped prepare her for a career in diplomacy.
Today, Ameena serves as a Political-Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where her portfolio includes human rights, labor, agriculture, religious freedom, trafficking, issues affecting women and children, internal Uzbek politics, and Afghanistan.
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
