Program Information

As part of Dartmouth's STEM initiative, Penny and Jim Coulter '82 contributed $25 million to programs aimed at increasing access and leadership opportunities in STEM. This includes the creation of the Coulter Scholars Program, a scholarship initiative supporting 16 undergraduates to boost STEM participation.

Scholar Selection

The Coulter Scholars are primarily selected pre-matriculation through the admissions process, with the Class of 2028 the first to be selected. To create a secondary cohort of upper-class scholars, we held an application process and accepted four additional members from the Class of 2026. We will be selecting '27s via application in summer 2025.
