Selection and Eligibility
Important Note: The Hanlon Scholars are selected pre-matriculation through the Dartmouth admissions process, beginning with the Class of 2028. The Scholars Programs team admitted six scholars from the Class of 2026 through the campus application process in summer 2024 and an additional six scholars from the Class of 2027 in summer 2025, completing our cohort of upperclass scholars. We do not anticipate opening future application cycles.
To be eligible for the Hanlon Scholars Program, students must demonstrate the following:
- Academic achievement and promise
- Commitment to making positive change in society
- Leadership potential
