Want to read with amazing kiddos in kindergarten and first grade? And get PAID to do so? Care about literacy as social impact? APPLY NOW!
America Reads employs Dartmouth students, including those in the Federal Work-Study Program, as in-school mentors and after-school program aides in local school districts, providing reading assistance (and fun!) to K-3 students. Mentors may work individually or with small groups of children each week. Through regular reading sessions and creative activities, tutors work to instill a love of reading in children and to equip them with the tools to succeed academically...and in life!
Applications are OPEN and DUE TONIGHT (Sunday 1/8 at midnight) so join an incredible cohort of Dartmouth peers who also want to turn their passion into action through educational access and literacy....and have a lot of FUN in the process!
