America Reads Literacy Mentor Application Live!!

The application for America Reads opens March 25th! Please go to dartgo.org/americareadsapp to apply to be an in-school literacy mentor today. Applications are due by March 30th at 11:59pm. 

Description: America Reads employs Dartmouth students in the Federal Work Study Program as in-school literacy mentors in local school districts, providing intensive reading assistance to K-3 students. Mentors may work individually or with small groups of children each week. Through regular reading sessions and creative activities, mentors work to instill a love reading in children!

 
Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per week. 
Two two-hour shifts per week (at minimum) for at least two terms/year 
 
Special Requirements for Involvement: Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
 
Important Dates:
March 30th, 11:59PM- Applications are due. 
April 1st, 5:00-6:30pm- Orientation* 
April 4th- First day of America Reads shifts. 
 
*Mentors who are accepted into America Reads program are required to attend orientation.
